J.B. Insurance Services Ltd. is a locally owned and operated by independent insurance office and is a member of the Insurance Brokers Association of Alberta.
We at J.B. Insurance pride ourselves in working with our clients and living up to our motto of “Building Relationships.” The office has always felt that our clients are more than just a policy or number and we work on living up to that motto. The staff at J.B Insurance are continually educating themselves and improving their insurance knowledge in order to keep pace with the changing environment that we live in today. Many of the staff either have or are working to complete their Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation. Those with their CAIB are also continuing on to complete further educational courses and industry designations. We have always worked hard to provide our existing clients and potential clients with the best possible service by being able to provide their insurance requirements in a prompt timely manner.
We welcome telephone quotes but prefer if the client stops in so that we can get a true understanding of what their exact requirement are - especially those individuals under 21. We feel that these individuals should come in to the office so that we can go over what they require and why. Usually this age group (under the age of 21) is relatively new to insurance; requirements, coverage, needs and why. Price should not be the only deciding factor when purchasing your insurance.

Our History
J. B. Insurance Services Ltd. was started back in November 1973 by the late founder Jack Berg. The office continued to be operated by Jack until he retired on September 1st, 1998 at which time it was purchased by John A. McInnes. John was a former employee of J.B. Insurance from 1980 – 1987 until moving to Whitecourt where he owned and operated Whitecourt Insurance Agency Ltd. until August 1st, 2002 at which time he sold the Whitecourt Insurance office and moved his family back to Grande Prairie. The office remained at its original location on the corner of 100 Street and 104 Avenue until out growing the space in July 2001. At which time we moved the office 4 blocks north to its present location, where it now occupies the bottom floor of the Exit Building.
